Hoa Lu, Tam Coc and Mua Cave 1-Day Tour
Tam Coc – Hoa Lu – Mua Cave Luxury 1-Day
Located about 100 kilometers from Hanoi, it is easy to visit the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. This large 3,000 hectare complex was built more than ten centuries ago during the reign of the Dinh and Le dynasties. Though it was the capital for just 41 years, Hoa Lu became famous for the many palaces, pagodas, pavilions and tombs that were constructed over the years. The Bao Thien Tue Palace was plated with gold and silver, made even more impressive by the picturesque scenery. Surrounded by a natural wall, the ancient capital is surrounded by the Trang An Mountains.
Tam Coc, known as the “inland Halong Bay” is just a short drive from Hoa Lu. Relax in a traditional sampan boat while the driver works the oars by foot, gliding through the calm waters, passing tranquil rice fields on the way to three caves, which you will pass through while on the boat.
Mua Cave (Dancing Cave) is at the top of Lying Dragon Mountain. From there, you’ll be treated to an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc, the city of Ninh Binh and the scenic countryside far below.
7:30-8:00: Our English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter, where you’ll board our luxurious limousine bus bound for Ninh Binh Province. This is a small-group tour, with no more than 15 people.
9:30-9:45: Arrive at the ancient capital of Vietnam, Hoa Lu, built in the 10th century AD. Visit the two temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties, noting the unique and ancient architecture, and learn about the first feudal government of Vietnam.
10:30: Our next stop is a visit to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Walk up almost 500 steps to reach the top of Ngoa Long (Lying Dragon) Mountain and take in the amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc and Ninh Binh far below.

13:00: Board the sampan boats (2 people per boat) for a unique and scenic glide along the river, past villages, mountains and rice fields. The boat will pass through three caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba.
15:00: We'll take a leisurely one-hour bicycling trip along rural roads, verdantly green rice paddies, canals and through small villages set among the maze of spectacular limestone mountains. Our tour guide will introduce to you the architecture of traditional countryside houses and the life of a local family.
16:00: After discovering the amazing beauty of Ninh Binh by walking, hiking, cycling, it’s time to relax by the swimming pool, drink some local tea, and delight in tasting fresh fruits while the sun is setting. Feel free to take a swim, weather permitting.
