Hoa Lu, Tam Coc and Mua Cave 1-Day Tour
Located about 100 kilometers from Hanoi, this trip will first take you to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. This large 3,000 hectare complex was built more than ten centuries ago during the reign of the Dinh and Le dynasties. Though it was the capital for just 41 years, Hoa Lu became famous for the many palaces, pagodas, pavilions and tombs that were constructed over the years. The Bao Thien Tue Palace was plated with gold and silver, made even more impressive by the picturesque scenery. Surrounded by a natural wall, the ancient capital is surrounded by the Trang An Mountains.
Tam Coc, known as the “inland Halong Bay” is just a short drive from Hoa Lu. Relax in a traditional sampan boat while the driver works the oars by foot, gliding through the calm waters, passing tranquil rice fields on the way to three caves, which you will pass through while on the boat. Mua Cave (Dancing Cave) is at the top of Lying Dragon Mountain. From there, you’ll be treated to an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc, the city of Ninh Binh, and the scenic countryside far below.
