HA GIANG NORTHEAST LOOP W/EASY RIDERS 3 DAYS/3 NIGHTS
If you want to get off the beaten path and see some truly spectacular scenery, bustling local minority markets, sample cuisine not available anywhere else, and spend your days traveling on a motorbike along twisty roads through mountains and canyons, and past towering waterfalls, taking a trip to the frontier area in Vietnam's far northeast should be on your shortlist.
Hanoi Family Homestay can arrange for an Easy Rider tour, where professional motorbike drivers will take you to the most rugged and remote areas along the famous Northeast Loop. Trips last from one very long day to a week or more. Below is a sample of a three-day/three-night Easy Rider tour we offer.
SAMPLE ITINERARY Night One: 7:30 - 8:00 pm: Our sleeper bus will come to your hotel in the Old Quarter for the ride to Ha Giang. You'll arrive early the following morning, where we will provide you with lodging in a homestay until 8:00 am.
If you prefer, a day bus can also be arranged - contact us for details.
Day One: Our Easy Rider motorbike drivers will provide safety equipment and instructions, then we'll depart north on a dramatically winding road until we reach the summit of Bac Sum Pass. We are now entering the Dong Van Plateau. We'll spend the remainder of the day exploring the Quan Ba Heaven Gate, the Twin Mountains, and the terraced rice paddies of Yen Minh District. We'll stop in Yen Minh for lunch. We're now in the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark as we make our way over Tham Ma Pass, then take a break at the H'mong King Palace. This sprawling wood-framed palace was built in 1902 during the French occupation. From here, we'll ride on to Dong Van Town near the Chinese border. Dinner and overnight in Dong Van.
Day Two: After breakfast, we'll begin the day seeing the sites in Dong Van, including the Volunteer Youth Movement, then ride to the spectacular 2,000-meter summit of Ma Pi Leng Pass. Far below is the Nho Que River. We'll continue along the Northeast Loop to Meo Vac, when we'll stop for lunch, then to M Road, and the Mau Hue Valley. Tonight, we'll have dinner and happy water with a Tay minority family and stay at their homestay, in Du Gia Village.
Day Three: After breakfast, we'll visit the Du Gia Waterfall, then take Duong Thuong Valley Road, Khe Mang Road, and Bac Me as we ride past the seemingly never-ending rice paddies and rugged mountains. We will arrive back in Ha Giang in the afternoon, tired but happy. Return to Hanoi by sleeper bus or limousine van.
