Sapa Hotel and Trekking - 3 days / 2 nights
This Sapa tour is designed for travelers who want to stay longer in Sapa and want to experience the comfort of staying in a hotel. You will have the opportunity to talk with the local minority people and learn about their way of life, and see some of Sapa's most famous sights.
Day 1 6:00 to 6:15 am: Pick up from Hanoi Family Homestay and transfer to the comfortable, air-conditioned bus to Sapa. 9:30: Short comfort break along the way. 11:00: Second comfort break in Lao Cai city before approaching Sapa. 1:00 pm: Arrive in Sapa, where you'll see the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic people in their colorful, traditional costumes. - Welcome drink and itinerary briefing. - Enjoy a hearty Vietnamese lunch, then check into your hotel. 2:30: We'll take a short trek to Cat Cat Village, home of the Black H'mong people. Visit Cat Cat Waterfall, the old power station, and the bridge that was constructed by the French in the 19th century. Then walk uphill for the bus to return to Sapa in the afternoon. Trekking is about 2.5 kilometers and takes two hours. 4:30: Return to your hotel in Sapa town to refresh. 6:00: Have a good dinner and explore the center of town and enjoy the night activities. Overnight at the hotel in Sapa. Meals included: lunch, dinner Day 2 7:00 am: Breakfast at the hotel, then prepare for today's nine-kilometer trek. 8:00: We'll take a short drive to Y Linh Ho, then trek through the stunning terraced rice paddies and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black H'mong minority village of Lao Chai. We'll pause for photos of the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain, then finish our trek in the Dzay ethnic minority village of Ta Van. The trek takes about four hours. 11:30: The bus will pick you up at the Ta Van Bridge for your return to Sapa. 12:00 pm: Have lunch and enjoy free time discovering the many interesting sights in Sapa town. 6:00: Dinner, then overnight in the hotel. Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dinner Day 3 6:00 am: Have breakfast at the hotel, then meet your English-speaking tour guide. 8:00: We'll start the day with a 12-kilometer road trip through some of the area's best scenic spots, including Thac Bac (Silver) Waterfall and salmon fishing. 11:00: Return to the hotel for check out. Lunch at the hotel, then free time in Sapa. 3:00 pm: Meet up at the hotel for the return trip to Hanoi. We'll stop briefly once along the way for a comfort break. 9:00: We say goodbye to you at Hanoi Family Homestay. Meals included: breakfast, lunch PRICE: $139 US per person for standard, 3-star hotel (twin-sharing) in Sapa. WHAT TO BRING: - Passport with valid Vietnamese visa - Some cash in Vietnamese Dong or USD for personal expenses - Sturdy walking shoes - Small day pack - Insect repellent - Sun hat, sun glasses, sunscreen - Raincoat - Warm clothing, scarf, hat (September through March).
